World Superbikes Championship Comes to Donington Park
Donington Park plays host to the only British round of the Superbike World Championship this weekend. It’s a notoriously exciting circuit with the awesome Craner Curves and some very fast corners, this is going to be some electrifying racing. 24 Teams Down to 2 – It’s the Women’s World Cup Final
Over the last month, 24 teams have competed in the FIFA Women’s World Cup with USA and The Netherlands making it into the final. This year France is hosting the event for the first time ever with matches played at several venues across the country. Hard Hitting Action in Las Vegas for UFC 239
There’s a lot to get excited about for UFC 239. Held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, this doubleheader event is the grand finale of International Fight Week. AJ 1 – A Plate with an Interesting History
AJ 1 recently sold at auction Wilsons Auctions in Belfast for £243,000. This plate has a truly fascinating history and it seems to still be making its mark on history even after it has been sold. North Yorkshire’s Oldest Plate AJ 1 was the first plate to ever be registered in the county of North Yorkshire. 2019 Tour de France gets Underway
The 106th Tour de France has now begun and will run until 28th July. Last year’s winner Geraint Thomas is returning to defend his title, but there’s certainly some stiff competition from the likes of Vincenzo Nibali, Jakob Fuglsang, Rigoberto Uran and Nairo Quintana. Wimbledon 2019 is Underway
You know summer has truly arrived when it’s time for Wimbledon! It’s the oldest and most famous tennis tournament in the world and it’s watched all over the globe. The matches start at 11:00am on the outdoor courts and 1:00pm on Centre Court and Court One. There is lots of live coverage on the BBC every day. The coverage is on BBC 1, BBC 2 and via the BBC Red Button so you can pretty much watch tennis all day for the next two weeks. So stock up on strawberries and cream and enjoy the matches!
