Hard Hitting Action in Las Vegas for UFC 239
There’s a lot to get excited about for UFC 239. Held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, this doubleheader event is the grand finale of International Fight Week. The headline fight sees Jon Jones go up against Thiago Santos in a fight for the light heavyweight title. This will be Jon Jones’ third world championship fight in just over 7 months. After two drug related suspensions, he announced that he wanted to make up for lost time and he seems to be doing just that.
Former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans has a lot of admiration for Jones stating that "When it comes down to it, I think that Jon Jones is the best in history”. But beating Santos could be a challenge for him, he’s won his last three fights since he moved up to light heavyweight.
There’s also a women’s bantamweight title bout with Amanda Nunes vs. Holly Holm. The welterweight grudge match between Ben Askren and Jorge Masvidal will also be riveting viewing.
