HIL Irish Number Plates

Minibus LEZ date changed
Minibuses and vans now have until 3 January 2012 before they are included in London’s Low Emission Zone (LEZ). These vehicles were originally due to be included from 14th October 2010, but following a public consultation, this date was deferred. This has given more time for necessary changes to be made to vehicles so they comply with Euro3 standards required by the LEZ. Three car insurance dodgers were caught by the police on Friday, due to their number plates. Officers from the Woodside and Ashburton safer neighbourhood teams(SNTs) caught the uninsured drivers during an operation in Portland Road on September 9. The latest Popemobile has been unveiled ahead of the Pontiff's visit to the UK - a Mercedes with an average speed of 6mph. The M class vehicle - with space for the Pope to stand and wave at the crowd - will be driven by a so far unnamed British driver.
