Preston council sells historic number plate

  Since the 1930s the city of Preston has owned the number plate CCK1; the plate has been displayed on the mayoral car since this date but they have decided that tradition and history aren't as important as replenishing the council coffers which have recently taken a hit due to government cutbacks.
