GB Registered Vehicle being imported into Northern Ireland

Scenario 1 You have the full GB V5C and is currently Road Taxed, to register the vehicle in NI Ireland we will require:
  • GB V5C—filled out in NI Address
  • Valid Insurance Certificate
  • GB Road Tax Disc
  • V10 form – completed
This can be done during transfer of registration Scenario 2 You have the full GB V5C and it is not currently Road Taxed, to register the vehicle in NI Ireland we will require:
  • GB V5C—filled out in NI Address
  • Valid Insurance Certificate
  • Cheque for Road Tax
  • V10 Form – completed
This can be done during transfer of registration Scenario 3 You have the  V5C/2 section  and is currently Road Taxed, to register the vehicle in NI Ireland we will require:
  • GB V5C/2—filled out in NI Address
  • V34 form completed
  • V55/5 completed
  • Valid Insurance Certificate
  • GB Road Tax Disc
  • V10 form – completed
  • Documents confirming name and address
This can NOT be done during transfer of registration and can take up to 6 weeks Scenario 4 You have the  V5C/2 section  and is currently not Road Taxed, to register the vehicle in NI Ireland we will require:
  • GB V5C/2—filled out in NI Address
  • V34 form completed
  • V55/5 completed
  • Valid Insurance Certificate
  • V10 form – completed
  • Cheque for Road Tax Fee
  • Documents confirming name and address
This can NOT be done during transfer of registration and can take up to 6 weeks Scenario 5 You have no part of GB V5C and is currently Road Taxed, to register the vehicle in NI Ireland we will require:
  • V34 form completed
  • Cheque for £25 for duplicate book
  • V55/5 completed
  • Valid Insurance Certificate
  • GB Road Tax Disc
  • V10 form – completed
  • Documents confirming name and address
This can NOT be done during transfer of registration and can take up to 6 weeks Scenario 6 You have no part of GB V5C and is NOT currently Road Taxed, to register the vehicle in NI Ireland we will require:
  • V34 form completed
  • Cheque for £25 for duplicate book
  • V55/5 completed
  • Valid Insurance Certificate
  • V10 form – completed
  • Cheque for Road Tax Fee
  • Documents confirming name and address
