JP Humbert Auctioneers, based in Towcester, auction off number plates NH 3 and NH 10, last Thursday night. The lots came from a deceased estate and the money from the sale will go to local and national charities. The owner got them from a scrap yard in the 1950s for £5 each and they are quite an investment, as they were sold for a large undisclosed amount last week. Land Rover has revealed a diesel-electric plug-in hybrid version of the Range Rover Sport ahead of the Geneva show. The Range is said to emit just 89g/km thanks to the addition of an electric motor and battery pack which allow the car to travel up to 20 miles on electric power alone.
