A recent Dubai online Number Plates Auction generated over Dh7 million!
Dubai’s Licensing Agency of Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) held its 9
th online number plateauction. Fifty 3 digit
number plates along with 4 digit and 5 digit
number plates were on sale, which resulted in heated competition among bidders.
Abdullah Abdul Rahman, Director of Vehicles Licensing, commented that over 100 number plates were offered for auction, it was also the first Auction to include 3 digit number plates. They opted to offer the 3 digit in an online auction as they were previousily unclaimed at open auctions. He also added that the 3 digit number plate category will be included in up coming online auctions.
